Turkey Tail Mushroom Powder
Turkey Tail (Trametes versicolor) has a hard, almost woody fruiting body. The whole mushroom has to be broken up, steeped for a long time and strained. The powder is already ground, so you can use it right away.
Turkey Tail grows in forests across Europe and North America, and the habit of brewing it as a drink comes from China and Japan. Scientists have studied this mushroom for decades. They're most interested in its polysaccharides, beta-glucans in particular.
Ingredients: ground dried Turkey Tail fruiting bodies.
Storage: +5 ℃ to +20 ℃. The powder absorbs moisture, so seal the bag tightly after each use.
Shelf life: 12 months from the drying date.
Contraindications: pregnancy, breastfeeding, individual intolerance to the ingredients. If you take medication, check with your doctor first.
How to Use Turkey Tail Powder
The easiest way is a warm drink. Add 1–2 g of powder (about half a teaspoon) to a cup, pour in hot water, stir and let it sit for 10–15 minutes. Some of the powder settles at the bottom, so give it a stir as you drink.
Turkey Tail tastes mild and slightly woody. You can also stir the powder into coffee, cocoa, oatmeal or a smoothie.
